This work begins with a simple rhythm of colour and repetition.

The successive bands of green, white, black, red and grey create an image that appears clear yet continues to surprise. Behind this apparent simplicity lies a subtle play of proportions, contrasts and repetition.

I found the inspiration for this composition in the classic felt chalkboard eraser. From this everyday form emerged an abstract composition in which the original object disappears, giving way to rhythm, colour and geometry.

Sometimes the greatest richness lies precisely in simplicity.
