Some compositions seem to be built around a quiet centre.

Here, the diagonal planes draw the eye towards the centre, while red, light blue and white create a subtle sense of movement. The octagonal form holds that movement together, bringing tension and balance to the composition.

The eye is drawn towards the centre, then finds its way back out towards the surrounding planes.

The result is a work that feels both focused and open.
